Born to Susan and Mark Anderson.. (Father) Mark was a Track & Field coach at UCLA where he coached Shae...Named the 2016-17 California Gatorade Girls Track and Field Player of the Year.

Shae studied at the University of Oregon and the UCLA and in 2020 broke the UCLA indoor 400m record twice and helping the women's 4x400m team to a UCLA indoor record.

She was a 2018 IAAF World U20 Championships gold medalist in the 4x400m.
